Alaska

Alaska is the farthest state of the United States in the northwest of the hemisphere. It is one of its coldest states.

Alaska is a state in the northwest of the United States precisely at the northwest end of Canada. The state was purchased by the United States from Russia in the middle of the 19th century for is own reasons. It is also the largest state in the United States and much larger than Texas which is only the second largest state. The highest point in Alaska is Mount McKinley while its lowest point is the Pacific Ocean.

A number of different popular attractions exist in Alaska and despite its seemingly far location and largely inclement climatic conditions, a large number of people tend to visit the state annually for various reasons including reasons motivated largely by tourism.
